TheElectrical Engineering Manageris part ofglobalMR Coils organization that delivers impact to MR business. The role manages highly qualified RF engineers along with complex projects that enables Philips to position them as leader in MR Coils, also improve profitability,. The primary function within this role is to build and transform the MR Coils R&D organization to deliver future needs of customer.
You are responsible for
Understanding “System & Electrical Architecture”, their working principle, definition, System Requirement Specification and requirement flow down to differentsubsystem, advisingthe System Architect regarding choices of whathas tobe achieved in hardware and further advising on make-or-buy decisions, working closely with supplier and Business units acrossPhilipsproducts.
Drive and Deliver MR Coils Design, Development, and sustenance activities of MR Coils
Develop the road map for MR Coils with integration of Technology and Innovation
Creation and development ofaElectrical/Electronic/MechatronicsCenter of Excellence including Senior Architect, Program Manager, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics leads, experts, engineers and technicians.
Responsible to Leada high performing teamand Manage People performance
Is abreast of / participates in standards know-how
Responsible for effort estimation and inputting for Program planning
Define subsystem architecture under considerations of platformor legacy systemconstraints& Designs
Working closely with all the other team members apart from R&D team members (Like Systems, Verification, Norm compliance etc..) and cross functional stakeholders (Like Service, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Clinicaletc…) for the projectsto timely outcome
Ensuring Reliability and Serviceability requirements of the system / subsystem / components for a project
Performs work in line with the processes that have been agreed in the department.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations.
Delivering on all functional responsibilities including Hiring, Coaching, Competency management, Performance management, etc.
Developing project scope, assessing technical & project risk, establish technical requirements for the project.
Preparation of WBS, RACI & effort estimation for project.
Guiding and mentoring designers & engineers on technical review, DFMEA, DFA/DFM, and RMM
Ensures that products meet external and internal customer quality needs, cost targets, assurance of supply, address component obsolescence and service needs
Work closely in collaboration with MR Hardware , System and software teams
Determines project risks, defines corrective action and drives the projects to closure
Ensures compliancetocorporate and regulatory agencies policies/rules/procedures

This role belongs to the Lifecycle Management (LCM) department of MR Coils business. LCM is responsible for all engineering activities required to support our entire released product portfolio and install base. We focus on customer enhancement requests, complaints, reliability improvement, cost reduction, and compliance with new or updated regulations.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Bachelor/Masters inElectrical,Electronics and communication and having master degree in RF communication is a big plus
14+ Years of total experience with 5+ years of PeopleManagement experience
Successful track record of project management
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstratedexperience one2edevelopment ofproducts 9Systems or sub-systems)
Good Understanding on New product development and life cycle management of products released to market
Hands on experience in addressing mfg. issues/ship holds in a quick turnaround time
Experience in IEC60601-1 3rd edition & 2-33 compliance requirements and testing is a plus
Experience in EM and RF Simulation and able to mentor and guide the engineers to effective utilization of simulation tools
Should be hands-on with Engineering Change Management, Design Transfer processes.
Demonstrated experience onsystem testing, test automation & test fixture design.
Worked onsupply base transfer/industrial transferprojects
Great work ethics with a passion for quality, Lean and business efficiency
Experience in technical complex problem-solving methods and techniques
PMP Certification, MBA and experience in a regulated medical device development and manufacturing environment a plus
