Job Description
Senior Software Engineer (Java, Spring boot) is a seasoned software engineer who designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs complex software applications with expertise in object-oriented programming with Java. You have gained hands on programming skills and have extensive knowledge of programming constructs, data structures, algorithms, and Spring Boot framework. You are well versed with distributed application development and deployment on public cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure). Responsibilities range from rapid prototyping, determine feasibility, risk evaluation and create well-thought-out software designs and implementation.
Role and Responsibilities
Compose and maintain detailed design specifications and component documents.
Implement business logic for new features and enhance existing software by fixing bugs.
Drive architectural and technical decisions for improving products and processes.
Perform technical feasibility analysis.
Create RESTful APIs, integrate, test and deploy on cloud infrastructure.
Embrace and implement Agile development framework and methodologies (SAFe, SCRUM, Kanban, etc.).
Embrace and institute best practices and coding standards (code reviews, logging and instrumentation, static/dynamic code analysis, code coverage, unit, integration tests) within the team.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Design, DevOps and Product Security teams to understand requirements for software development.


Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
5 to 8 years of directly related work experience building Web scale distributed applications.
Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (Algorithms, Data Structures, OOP)
Demonstrable experience developing modern web applications (designing modern REST based APIs, 3rd party integration, Web UI interactions, etc.) using Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with cloud computing technologies e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP required. Hands-on experience working on GCP is an advantage.
Experience writing API spec with OpenAPI.
Experience with SQL databases. MySQL/MSSQL
Experience with NoSQL databases. MongoDB, Google Datastore
Skills in JavaScript and Typescript/Angular/React/Vue.js is added advantage.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
