Job Description Lead Engineer - BE Requisition ID: 16634 About the Role The Lead Developer will be part of a cross-functional Scrum team responsible for designing, developing, and testing diverse features of Airtel Applications. You must be comfortable working closely with others and have solid communication skills. Key Responsibilities Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery. Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards. Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code. Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget. Provide third-level support to business users. Research and evaluate a variety of software products. Technical design, implementation, deployment, and support. Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements. Mentors and oversees development of resources, including reviewing designs and performing code reviews. Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications Develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance Experience & Skills Skills Required: The Developer must be able to recognize the needs of business, and customize the product through extensible build that answer those needs. Establishing a detailed program specification through discussion with product stake holders; Breaking down program specification into its simplest elements and translating this logic into a programming language; Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and computer operators; Creating consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge; Conducting user-acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software and generic applications. Should have knowledge of version management such as (SVN,GIT) Familiarity with web services. Competent in Oracle Database, Core Java, Hibernate, Java Script and JSON.
