The role manages highly qualified RF engineers along with complex projects that enables Philips to position them as leader in MR Coils, also improve profitability,. The primary function within this role is to build and transform the MR Coils R&D organization to deliver future needs of customer. You are responsible for Understanding “System & Electrical Architecture”, their working principle, definition, System Requirement Specification and requirement flow down to different subsystem, advising the System Architect regarding choices of what has to be achieved in hardware and further advising on make-or-buy decisions, working closely with supplier and Business units across Philips products. Drive and Deliver MR Coils Design, Development, and sustenance activities of MR CoilsDevelop the road map for MR Coils with integration of Technology and InnovationCreation and development of a Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Center of Excellence including Senior Architect, Program Manager, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics leads, experts, engineers and technicians. Responsible to Lead a high performing team and Manage People performance Is abreast of / participates in standards know-how Responsible for effort estimation and inputting for Program planning Define subsystem architecture under considerations of platform or legacy system constraints & DesignsWorking closely with all the other team members apart from R&D team members (Like Systems, Verification, Norm compliance etc..) and cross functional stakeholders (Like Service, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Clinical etc…) for the projects to timely outcome Ensuring Reliability and Serviceability requirements of the system / subsystem / components for a project Performs work in line with the processes that have been agreed in the department. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations. Delivering on all functional responsibilities including Hiring, Coaching, Competency management, Performance management, etc. Developing project scope, assessing technical & project risk, establish technical requirements for the project. Preparation of WBS, RACI & effort estimation for project. Guiding and mentoring designers & engineers on technical review, DFMEA, DFA/DFM, and RMMEnsures that products meet external and internal customer quality needs, cost targets, assurance of supply, address component obsolescence and service needs Work closely in collaboration with MR Hardware , System and software teamsDetermines project risks, defines corrective action and drives the projects to closure Ensures compliance to corporate and regulatory agencies policies/rules/procedures You are a part of This role belongs to the Lifecycle Management (LCM) department of MR Coils business. LCM is responsible for all engineering activities required to support our entire released product portfolio and install base. We focus on customer enhancement requests, complaints, reliability improvement, cost reduction, and compliance with new or updated regulations. . To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience/Preferred Skills: Bachelor/Masters in Electrical, Electronics and communication and having master degree in RF communication is a big plus14+ Years of total experience with 5+ years of People Management experience Successful track record of project management Great interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated experience on e2e development of products 9Systems or sub-systems) Good Understanding on New product development and life cycle management of products released to marketHands on experience in addressing mfg. issues/ship holds in a quick turnaround timeExperience in IEC60601-1 3rd edition & 2-33 compliance requirements and testing is a plusExperience in EM and RF Simulation and able to mentor and guide the engineers to effective utilization of simulation tools Should be hands-on with Engineering Change Management, Design Transfer processes. Demonstrated experience on system testing, test automation & test fixture design.
