What You'll Do: You will support a salesperson with high-quality research from internal & external sources to increase conversions and drive more revenue from new and existing customers.External Research - Monitor and analyze prospects, customers, and industry trends through primary and secondary researchInternal Research - Monitor customer account performance by liaising with customer success teams and share actionable insights with sales and marketing Providing actionable insights to guide the sales and marketing teams Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified: You have the personality of an ‘analyst' - you don't take things on face value, you like to dig into details, you're curious, you keep asking ‘why', you come up with hypotheses and back them with data, etc.1-2 years of experience as a Sales Analyst or a similar research or business analyst role.Superior research & analytical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and derive insights.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other database tools, CRMs, etc.Ability to work independently and with cross-functional sales and marketing teamsStrong communication and presentation skills to present actionable insights, talking points for both internal teams and external prospects or customersHigh level of organization and detail orientation Logistics: Compensation: INR 7-10 LPALocation: We are a remote-first/ hybrid organization inviting applicants from all over India.Joining Date: ASAP :)Why's this an important role:We follow a ‘consultative' sales methodology. A salesperson is expected to understand a prospect's business model, their marketing and sales strategy, sales funnel, manpower, CRM systems, etc and suggest how our product can solve their problems. Every new interaction adds additional data and insights which can be used for adding value to other conversations.Given the volume of information and the number of deals an individual handles, it becomes difficult to keep track of all this information for one salesperson.Your role as a sales analyst is to become an industry expert and be the eyes and ears that help salespeople build and share expert insights for our prospects and customers, thereby driving overall revenue.What does a day in your life look like?Every day is a new and interesting challenge. You work in a ‘pod' with a sales team that's focused on 2-3 industries.You keep track of new alerts for our customers and their competitors. You notice something interesting that can open up an upsell conversation for sales.You analyze a new market report and come up with content recommendations for marketing and talking points for sales for all players within that industry.You sit in on a customer success review meeting, analyze performance data, and share key findings with sales on potential opportunities or risks within an account.You track ads for an existing customer which helps the sales-person pitch an upsell conversation.You're the go-to-market intelligence expert in the organization for questions from product managers.
