We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager (L5) for the Relay Operations Center (ROC) Asset Management (Equipment) team that is in the forefront of solving bottlenecks and handling the network for Amazon North America (NA), by working with partner teams within ROC, Tech, our carriers, Amazon site partners and other Upstream/Downstream teams. A Manager II, Supply Chain in the Asset Management team is expected to execute operations and manage programs.
Key job responsibilities
Operational responsibilities include:
1. Operational Performance - Track KPIs on a day to day basis, maintain SLs, perform audits and deep dives and present weekly/monthly/quarterly results to senior leadership and influence decisions
2. Shift Management - Work with Labor planning to track and validate volume forecasts, design shift schedules, manage Over Time requirements to handle contingencies. Coordinate hiring by partnering with the recruitment team
3. People Management - Lead a team of 10+ associates and people managers, engage associates through periodic 1:1s, manage team huddles, supervise associate training, handle escalations, hire and develop supervisors
4. Communicating standard work changes and drive compliance
5. Working across stakeholders both upstream and downstream (ROC partner teams in NA, FC teams, Carrier teams, Equipment, Disruption mgmt team) to influence and execute Asset Management goals
7. Owning issues in the network to ensure they are documented (Root Cause and Corrective Action) and addressed
A day in the life
Program management responsibilities include:
1. Identifying gaps in existing process and work with key stakeholders to resolve them
2. Identifying new processes / initiatives to help meet goals defined for Asset Management team
3. Extracting data (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems), performing deep dives and reporting as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
. 5+ years of applicable professional experience
. Demonstrated experience of managing large teams to drive operational rigor
. Strong analytical, technical, organizational and interpersonal skills
. Demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and execute many complex tasks simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
. Experience using data to drive root cause corrective action and process improvement proficiency in Spreadsheets and SQL
