Job Summary

Works independently under close supervision, executes the continuous improvement strategy and approach by translating business objectives into actionable projects. Engages with other departments to sustain, improve, and streamline all processes with a primary focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. As part of the Business Process Improvement Team, supervises change agents and team members on small project tasks.

This position has key management responsibilities around driving QMS and performance management across ABC. The candidate will work with ABC leadership, managers, team members and stakeholders to coordinate improvement efforts and drive business results.

Some of the responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for deployment of Avantor Business System & culture across ABC organization. Lead complex process improvement projects within ABC and the businesses. Train, guide, co-ordinate and facilitate implementation of Lean, PSP/A3, Kaizen, TDM for the respective functions/processes. Facilitate VSM initiatives for functions to help them identify non-value added/manual activities and provide lead for process automation/digitization.
  • Facilitate business process benchmarking initiatives across ABC. Identify and/or set standards through Internal and External, Process Benchmarking. ‘Support Teams to establish statistical confidence by identifying Significant sample size and acceptable error, determining levels of confidence.
  • Ensure Risk Mitigation/Business Continuity plan for developed for all critical processes and periodically validate them. Work closely with Operation teams to obtain input of diverse views, facilitate generation of ideas, analyze operational risks (FMEA), extend support in managing client escalations (RCA/CAPA)
  • Drive organizational compliance to QMS based on ISO 9001:2015 standards: Devise and implement QMS Audit program across ABC organization. Ensure Process compliance with ISO Requirements by Conducting periodic Internal Audits and Management Review.
  • Support Smart Automation Implementation: Work with teams in comprehending and implementing smart automation projects across teams and functions. Should be able to review and validate possibilities for automation solutions for the operations teams, using ERPs (SAP etc), CRMs (SalesForce etc.) & WFMs. 
  • Design and implement KPI measures, measurement systems and visual tracking controls/dashboards to manage process performance for sustainability and continuous improvement. Build data analytics capability with the team to help provide data analytic support to function to take informed decision. Should be able to design meaningful reports, using interactive data visualization software (like PowerBI / Tableau). Should be capable of working across varied data bases and warehouses.
  • Train/Mentor team members to use statistical methods/tools operations team to be data-driven and help them take informed decision using statistical methods/tools; Conduct Trainings on Six Sigma, ISO Internal Auditor, QMS, Process Capability Analysis, and Transition Methodology & Documentation Methodology.
  • Graduation: UG/PG; Engineering background; or MBA

    Qualification: Certification - Statistical/PMP/ISO/Lean & SixSigma/RPA/Automation

    Years of experience - Min 5 years of experience in Quality (QA/AC) with knowledge around LSS/Robotics/ERP/CRM
