The Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) Sales Strategy team is looking for a highly skilled Business Planning Analyst. This role will work on Business Planning for Commercial Sales organization, supporting APJ Business Planning Lead. The role will analyze data and drive meaningful insights on how to improve and take all necessary steps to operationalize the strategy on field. The individual will leverage business planning cycles to collaborate with a set of stakeholders from APJ and Global Commercial Sales organization. As Business Planning Analyst, this role will be the subject matter expert to fulfil data-driven decision-making demands, querying and extracting large datasets and effectively using the accompanying tools and programming languages needed to work with them. This is a hands-on position the ideal candidate must be willing to 'roll up their sleeves' and work directly with large and complex datasets. We seek for a candidate who can create simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems. This role will continuously evolve business reporting, conduct data analysis, build self-service reporting and analytical tools, and deliver business insights in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. Ideal candidate must have good communication and project management skills, be customer obsessed and able to communicate complex business insights both verbally and in writing in a clear and precise manner. The ideal candidate must earn trust through performance and relationship building, think strategically and analytically about business challenges and have experience in program management or planning for a B2B Sales organization. The candidate will be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving, a passion for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, and has the foresight to anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints.Basic Qualifications :. Bachelor's degree with emphasis on statistical and analytical skills. . At least 6 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis in Planning/Strategy/Finance/Operations organizations in a mid-to-large scale company. . Demonstrated proficiency in relational databases (Redshift, RDS, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and SQL for querying and extracting data. . Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, R, etc.) for data gathering, data cleansing and statistical analysis. . Expertise in data visualization software (QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.) for effective data presentation. . Proven experience with the systems/tools utilized for business planning and reporting. Expert level in Excel. . Demonstrated ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, clear written summaries, and region-wide communications. . Demonstrated ability to help drive data-based decision making for strategy and planning processes, procedures and policies and cross functional collaboration skills. . Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management. . Strong prioritization skills, including driving multiple initiatives at the same time. . Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly.Preferred Qualifications :. MBA or other relevant advanced degree. . Hands on experience with annual business planning process in a high-growth, technology company. . Familiarity with cloud product and services, and sales cycles. . Highly organized with multi-tasking skills efficient in ambiguous situations. . Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries.
