Asia Pacific HR Director - Global Specialty Businesses 12784BR People WHAT YOU'LL DO Reporting to the Global HR Director, based in Chicago, the Regional HR Director will be responsible for GSB HR Operations and general HR in APAC jointly with a team of 8 people reporting to him/her, located in various GSB hubs (China, India, Singapore). The team covers HR for people hosted in more than 30 different BCG consulting offices throughout APAC, including two Advanced Capabilities Centers of 850 people in Gurugram and Bengaluru, where it manages full HR end-to-end. The Regional HR Director will be part of the broader Global Specialty Businesses People Team. This person will also belong to its global Leadership Team, which defines GSB People and HR strategy at the global level. The Regional HR Director and their team have 3 mandates: 1 – to be the HR point of contact to GSB team members; 2 – to represent GSB teams regionally and locally; 3 – to ensure that HR policies are globally consistent YOU'RE GOOD AT HR strategy and project management: Is part of and contributes to GSB People Leadership Team, providing recommendations and insights about GSB People and HR strategic roadmap Leads and manages regional and global projects, aimed at designing or improving our HR policies, practices, frameworks and tools, or transforming our HR organization Drives and leads People Engagement and Diversity & Inclusion agenda and designs initiatives at regional/business level General HR: Ensures all regional HR activities are in line with global, regional and local policies, and local labor laws Maintains strong network with local and regional Consulting, BST, ABM HR functions across the region, enabling collaboration and sharing cross-functionally Is thought partner to GSB Directors and Managers, regarding range of complex HR matters and team location strategy Communicates about HR; facilitates meetings and trainings with GSB team managers and team members With team, helps GSB Directors and Managers managing employee events and issues across employee lifecycle With team, is accountable for accuracy of GSB data in HR systems and documentation With team, works on seamless transition and adoption of new HCM system, Workday Reviews employee engagement survey results to identify trends across the region; support team in defining ACC specific insights and action plans Compensation: Works collaboratively with our Compensation CoE on setting local compensation – involving local HR on an as-needed basis Collaborates with the Compensation CoE to define relevant salary ranges for each GSB function in each market Provides guidelines on local / regional compensation and benefit packages Helps GSB Directors and Managers addressing compensation challenges Works with team to ensure coordination with local offices payroll to confirm and operationalize bonus and salary decisions Management: Oversees, apprentices, and manages a team of 8 HR Managers, Leads and Specialists Guarantees the team delivers seamless and consistent HR support, across all locations in the region Ensures intense collaboration and best practice sharing within the team Accountable for relevant regional People Team budget Other: Ensures close collaboration and alignment with GSB HR Directors in other regions, to guarantee global consistency of HR policies definition and execution With support from the team, advises and coaches Recruiting team about local market realities Represents GSB and GSB HR with local offices; is a key point of contact for local stakeholders like Office Leaders, Office Managers, CT and/or BST HR, Finance, etc. Act as an Internal Complaints Committee member under POSH Act of India YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 14 years of relevant work experience in HR and business management or 10 years of consulting firm experience within operations, HR, Learning or Recruiting Advanced university degree and demonstrated high academic achievements Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English International work experience strongly preferred YOU'LL WORK WITH The People Management Team (PMT) is comprised of several centers of expertise including HR Operations, People Analytics, Career Development, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition & Branding, Compensation, and Mobility.
