You are responsible for delivering appropriate solutions to support our customers. You will ensure that your design is consistent with the highest standards of architecture and requirements, and ensure components and products are delivered and maintained with the highest levels of performance and quality for our customers.You are responsible forBeing the Technical Lead for MR Coils team, to carry out productivity changes as well as changes required as part of new products introduction and/or quality initiatives.Hands-on in Creation, implementation, test and integration of technical solutions, designs, design changes to best support our Diagnostic Imaging/ MR customers, in accordance with the higher-level architectural Requirements and Design specifications,Develop component level requirements in line with the system and sub-system level requirements.Defining and selecting best technical alternatives to have optimum impact while managing quality and costsDefining design changes on MR Coils and also propose ideas to reduce costs while maintaining performance and improving quality.Analyzing project ideas regarding realization options; evaluate impact on running projectsDetermining the hardware Unit interfaces in close consultation with relevant disciplines.Evaluate the implementation by mechanical Engineers on the technical and design process aspects, the implementation by electrical engineers on the design process aspects and overall ensure the design meets the desired safety, reliability, quality and cost criteria.Responsible for effort estimation and inputting for Program planningActs in line with departmental and project processes.Performs work in close consultation with Lead designer, system architect on technical, quality and cost aspectsWorking closely with all the other team members both R&D team members (Like Systems, Architecture, Verification, Norm compliance etc..) and cross functional stakeholders (Like Service, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Clinical etc…) for the projectsInteract with the global R&D Teams of Diagnostic Imaging/ MRWorking closely with local and global suppliersEnsuring Reliability and Serviceability requirements of the system / subsystem / components for a projectDelivering cost effective design solutionBeing abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations.You are a part ofMR Coils R&D team New product development and Life Cycle management activities for MR coils, in this role your responsible for all engineering activities required to support our entire released product portfolio and install base. We focus on customer enhancement requests, complaints, reliability improvement, cost reduction, and compliance with new or updated regulations.To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the followingBachelor or Master’s in science/ Engineering in Mechanical with 12+ years of industrial experience in technical domain and system engineering.·Expertise in design techniques, application domain and engineering. Keeps it up-to-date and propagates it, both internal and external.Working knowledge of structural design, design calculations, CAD & FEA Tools like ProE / SolidWorks / Windchill / Ansys Classic / Ansys Workbench, DFMEA, DFS, DFM, Design to cost etc..Working Knowledge of engineering materials and Manufacturing processes like Sheet Metal & Fabrication / Plastic / Machining while designing.Good knowledge of / work experience on Reliability (Modeling, HALT, HAST), DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), Risk Analysis, Requirement management processKnowledge of and experience in hardware interfaces, understanding of cross functional operationsAbility to technically lead a team with a Domain Expertise in MechanicalDemonstrated innovation capability.Analytical, creative, and intellectual thinker, with ability to perform design studies & verify designsLateral thinker with bird’s eye view, capable of finding an appropriate solution to complex problems.Is capable to introduce new technologies and efficiency improvements on group level (change management)Exposure to work on global environment, ability to communicate on different levels, good listener, guide project team, with good presentation skillsExposure to International Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, CFR, MDD, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc. will be added advantageExperience in the field of Medical Devices product design e.g. MRI, X-Ray Machines, Ultrasonic Machines, Mammography etc. will be added advantageTeam player, leadership skills and drive for resultsQuality mindset in design and documentationIntercultural sensitivityIn return, we offer youA rewarding career in Philips with attractive package.Extensive set of tools to drive your career, such as a personal development budget, free training and coachingAttractive collective health insurance packageOpportunity to buy Philips shares and products with discountHow we work at PhilipsOur newly-adopted hybrid work concept fuses flexibility with collaboration to deliver great outcomes for our people and our customers.
